Cogniss execs present at the Health Innovation Community (HIC) 2024 conference
Cogniss is proud to have presented at the Australasian Institute of Digital Health’s three-day Health Innovation Community (HIC) conference, which took place in Brisbane from 6-8 August 2024. The event brought together leaders from government, academia, industry, clinical practice and consumers. This year's theme was ‘It Starts With Us’, aiming to drive change that enhances the impact of digital technologies in health care.
During the event, Cogniss Chief Commercial Officer Joseph Barry delivered a talk on building Pathways, a diagnosis support app for colorectal cancer patients, in just six hours using Cogniss's no-code platform. The app, developed through a co-design process with consumers, demonstrated the potential of no-code technology to rapidly create personalized health solutions.
Serious diagnosis can be a complex and overwhelming process for patients and caregivers alike. The Pathways app addresses this by streamlining the initial navigation through diagnosis and care options, providing an empathetic and informative guide in an otherwise daunting journey.
Cogniss CEO Leon Young joined a panel discussion alongside Dr. Shaun Francis from the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and Professor Wendy Chapman from the University of Melbourne. The panel discussed how no-code infrastructure can democratize digital health, particularly for priority populations. It explored the potential and risks in using new approaches to serve patients who grapple with health inequities, whether due to their geographic isolation, limited resources or distinct healthcare needs.
