An app that helps develop psychological resilience skills in medical students, reducing their risk of burnout

The University of Newcastle's Centre for Rehab Innovations (CRI) wanted to conduct a research study on secondary intervention techniques to support the mental health of medical students. The research team wanted to develop an app that helps identify and deliver the optimal mental health intervention to build psychological resilience and prevent burnout.

The Cogniss platform made it possible for the research team to create an intervention app iteratively, using agile principles.

Key features of the app

  • Structured training program

  • Randomized controlled trial design

  • Activities to practice skills

  • Psychological assessments

  • Rich media content delivery
