TENSH

A workplace well-being app helping employees build high-impact habits in seconds each day

Globally, lifestyle-related risk factors such as physical inactivity, poor diet, and inadequate sleep contribute significantly to chronic diseases. These issues not only impact individual well-being and lifespan but also result in billions in lost productivity worldwide. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that only 4.2% of Australians meet recommended fruit and vegetable intake, less than 25% engage in regular physical activity, and 40% sleep fewer than seven hours per night.

Workplace well-being programs have attempted to address these issues, yet many fail to engage employees effectively. Most solutions lack personalization and fail to recognize individual progress, making it difficult for people to develop long-term habits. Many existing wellness tools are also designed with American health metrics in mind, which do not align with Australian guidelines, creating a gap in relevance and effectiveness.

Tom Fitzgerald, an Occupational Health and Well-being Expert, developed TENSH (Ten Second Health) to provide organizations and individuals with personalized and actionable health strategies. Built on Cogniss, TENSH empowers employees to build high-impact physical and mental health habits in seconds each day.

Key Features

  • 10 evidence-based modules covering physical activity, nutrition, sleep, and mindfulness – aligned with local health guidelines

  • Personalized habit-building with daily check-ins

  • Adherence scores and progress reports

  • Workplace integration options for businesses of all sizes

Cogniss allowed TENSH to evolve with user feedback and refine its approach efficiently, making it adaptable to future opportunities in other regions. The platform also simplified privacy and security compliance, ensuring that while organizations can support their employees’ well-being, individuals retain control of their health data.

As of January 2025, TENSH is undergoing user testing with 40 participants in Australia, with plans to expand globally. As the app continues to refine its approach based on user insights, Tom’s vision is to make personalized health support accessible to workplaces worldwide.
